BURSARY FUND PRIZE

Funds will support the work of Friends of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, UK (NMWA, UK), which includes:

• providing expanded exhibition opportunities to women artists working in the UK through participation in the NMWA's biennial Women To Watch programme;
  
  
• awarding grants to support historical research into British women artists and collectors;
  
  
• creating academic forums, like the November 2007 Symposium: British Women Collectors, to promote understanding of the roles women have and do play in the world of the arts;
  
  
• and in future, by organizing an invitational juried art prize to recognize emerging talent.
